HOSPICE Casa Sperantei, centre of excelence and model for palliative care services and education in Central-Eastern Europe and Asia,  is organizing Palliative Care Trainig of Trainers Courses for palliative care providers from Europe and Asia.

The course is designed for a group of 8 participants (health care practitioners).

Curricula: Team work, Symptom management, Spirituality, Psychology, Pain management, Opioid availability/accessibility, Communication, Ethical issues, Adult Teaching Techniques

The course has a structure of 4 weeks (the first week is distance-learning)

  • 1st week- preparatory week/distance- learning: basic concepts about palliative care 
  • 2nd week- clinical placement in palliative care services: at HOSPICE Casa Sperantei, Brasov, Romania
  • 3rd week- theoretical training on palliative care: at the Palliative Medicine Study Centre of HOSPICE Casa Sperantei, Brasov, Romania
  • 4th week- training on adult teaching techniques: at the Palliative Medicine Study Centre of HOSPICE Casa Sperantei, Brasov, Romania

Final exam: theory and practice

Training coordinator: Professor Dr Daniela Mosoiu

trained as oncologist with subspecialty in palliative care. As Director for Education, National Strategy and Development at Hospice Casa Sperantei, Brasov and leader of the Romanian palliative care movement she supervises the educational programs, national development and advocacy work. She coordinates the master program in palliative care at  Transilvania University in Brasov and is graduate of the International Palliative Care Leadership Development Initiative of The Institute for Palliative Medicine in San Diego. Dr. Daniela Mosoiu is active partner and lecturer for the European Palliative Care Academy.
