HCS Foundation is recognised by the Romanian College of Physicians as being provider of Continuing Medical Education. The courses are licensed by the Romanian College of Physicians and the Order of Nurses, Midwives and Medical Assistants in Romania. The lecturers are teachers from both Romania and abroad and palliative care trainers recognized by the National School of Public Health, Management and Professional Development. Most of the nurse lecturers are certified as international trainers – ELNEC (The End of Life Nurse Education Consortium).

The current Romanian law stipulates that: “Home-based palliative care providers are able to conclude an agreement with health insurance funds if they prove that they operate with specialized personnel. By specialized personnel, one understands: physicians certified in palliative care and nurses who graduated a course in palliative care. “(Law no. 95/2006, GD 1389/2010, Order of Minister of Health/ National Health Insurance Fund no..864/538/2011, Annex 25, page 271, Article 4/2).

LOCATION: face to face courses are held within the Study Centre for Palliative Medicine – Hospice Casa Sperantei, 101 Piatra Mare Street, Brasov, or in other cities from Romania (our team of lecturers will travel to other locations for groups of minimum 20 participants)

ACCOMMODATION: Participants may request accommodation within the Study Centre, based upon availability
