Communication in Palliative Care Masterclass (12h) 2021

This educational event aims to enhance communication competencies for palliative care professionals who care for patients with life limiting illnesses and to create a community of professionals concerned with improving communication with the patients and their families.
The Masterclass is a three-day educational event, organized on zoom platform, with an intense and interactive program (4 hours per day with 15 minutes breaks between sessions) focusing on communication, with as much interactivity the online environment can provide: polling, practical exercises on small groups (with facilitators), role play.
The Masterclass is a Romanian- American initiative of Transilvania University from Brasov in collaboration with HOSPICE Casa Sperantei with the scientific contribution of high profile professionals from US Ohio Health.
Dr. Ferris is particularly interested in educational and research strategies to grow palliative care clinicians and leaders, and advance palliative care globally. He has published and spoken widely on many palliative care subjects, including effective approaches to caring for patients and families, education and program implementation.
